Emmett enjoying some grass and sun! He is our first Grand Champion bunny!
As our kids head back to school we are still seeing new babies and full nest boxes. Mom has cut back on some responsibilities in hopes to spend a little more time in the rabbitry. Some new extra-curricular activities for one of our sons will conflict with some shows. So you may see us at fewer shows, but we will still be working hard to make improvements to be competitive when we are there. As the kids get older and activities grow it gets harder and harder but we are still committed to this great hobby and these wonderful creatures. We look forward to seeing you at one of the next shows! Happy back to school! ~Lops 'n Lions
Welcome to our small family hobby rabbitry.
Our 2 boys wanted bunnies for pets, those pets turned out to be parents, and now here we are. We have chosen to stay a small hobby rabbitry so we can give more personal attention to each of the rabbits. Our children play a huge part in the care and maintenance of our rabbits. They clean, feed, groom, hold and love on all the bunnies. Our daughter (4 years old), is probably our biggest helper. She holds each and every baby from the moment they are born, until they sell, or stay here with us. She is always holding a bunny. She even sings to them at feeding time. If we can't find her, generally you will find her in the. bunny shed. Our middle son is a big bunny holder to. He is great with all animals and may someday be the VET he wants to be. All 3 of our kids show at the local shows in our area. We really enjoy doing this together as a family. I think it makes it so much more fun when we are all involved. We hope we are creating some wonderful memories for our kids during this endeavor. We started with just Lionheads and lops, but we have since expanded into Netherland Dwarfs, and now we have added the English Angoras. We no longer do lops and miss them very much, but want to focus more on the lions and Netherlands. We find more enjoyment in the way those two show than the Hollands. If you are interested in Hollands we know several great breeders we can get you in contact with. Some who have acquired our stock. |
We love finding amazing homes for our bunnies! Whether it is for 4H, showing, or just a family pet, hopefully you can find what you are looking for here. Our bunnies are kid ready, and ready for familes who have a lot of bunny love to give. We hope that before purchasing a bunny you have done some research about the breed and rabbits in general. They are more like a dog or cat, then a hamster or other rodent, when it comes to care. Please don't hesitate to contact us with any questions!
